Izabel Loinaz joined the Lundquist College of Business on November 30, 2015, as program manager and instructor for the Center for the Sustainable Business Practices (CSBP).
In her work as CEO and principal consultant for a San Francisco area consulting company, Izabel Loinaz provided strategic business development and marketing and services to clients including the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee, America's Cup Event Authority, CenturyLink Field and Event Center, Lagunitas Brewing Co., and New Resource Bank.
A sustainable business management MBA (from Presidio Graduate School), Loinaz has also earned a credential as a Certified Sustainability Reporter from the Global Reporting Initiative. In other words, she fits right in at the Lundquist College.
“Izabel's expertise in the areas of entrepreneurial, corporate, and municipal ventures in sports, recreation, and wellness align with our goals for moving the Center for Sustainable Business Practices even further as a marquee program at the Lundquist College," said John Hull, assistant dean for centers of excellence at the Lundquist College and executive director of the Business Innovation Institute. “We are looking forward to Izabel's help and leadership in growing the center's reputation as the #1 Green MBA, according to the Princeton Review."
Loinaz has authored several articles related to the topics of sustainability in healthcare and sport industries, and she is a contributing author to 2015's Sport and the Natural Environment, the first undergraduate textbook published in the nation on the topic of sustainable business practices in sports management.
“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to build on the outstanding work of Laura Strohm, the CSBP faculty, and Lundquist College staff," she said. “As we continue to grow as the leading Green MBA program we turn to the fundamentals under which the center was founded: passion, perseverance, and a commitment to educating the next generations of integrated sustainable business leadership. I am committed to continuing this vision by cultivating an unparalleled experience for our students and furthering our industry reach through our awesome alumni and community partnerships."
Loinaz succeeds Laura Strohm, who retired in December.
